Alphonso J. Taylor Named Cambridge Publishing's Professional of the Year
Alphonso J. Taylor celebrates first year with Grant Electrical Contracting

WEST COLUMBIA, SC, August 03, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Alphonso J. Taylor, Vice President of Grant Electrical Contracting, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Electrical Contracting Management. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.

With over 26 years of experience in electrical contracting and engineering, Alphonso J. Taylor is uniquely positioned to oversee business operations for Grant Electrical Contracting. Best noted for his work in network engineering and IT administration, Mr. Taylor utilizes his industry know-how to make strategic decisions about technology, implement various electrical systems including traffic signals, and prioritize and allocate projects, products and resources with the assistance of architects and managers.

Prior to joining Grant Electrical Contracting, Mr. Taylor served in the United States Marines from 1978 to 1982. He also worked with Xerox Engineering Systems, Inc., where he honed his skills in engineering and information technology. Away from work, Mr. Taylor is active in his community and serves as the financial secretary for St. Mark's Baptist Church. He credits his success to his to faith in God and his plan for his life as well as his father, Julius and mother, Rosa who taught him the correct way to apply his faith. He also credits his wife, Edith and children, Brittany and Julius for providing him with a launching pad for success. Mr. Taylor also wants to recognize mentors Ervin Goodwin, Marilyn Livingston, his pastor Dr. Secaidia D. Howell, and his dual best friends, Earl and Deborah Grant, who supported him along the way. Mr. Taylor looks forward to continuing his work with Grant Electrical Contracting for many years to come.

Mr. Taylor is a Microsoft Certified Professional. He holds CompTIA A+ Certification and Comp TIA Network+ Certification. His professional affiliations include membership with Ducks Unlimited, Inc.
